AUCTION RESULTS by Jacopo Prina

Prina searches for prized pages of art and crumples them up, transforming them into illegible papers.

He photographs them. He locks away the traces of meaning that each one safeguards, well-hidden amongst the folds of paper, in a new two-dimensional image.

He prints these verbal-visual scraps in medium-large formats and refined blow-ups for the system of art: elevation of the obvious to work of art between Dadaism and denunciation.
